Swift Code is required when payment is being made in the second currency from your foreign bank account. This is alloted to the branches by the bank.
“A SWIFT code is an international bankcode that identifies particular banks worldwide. It’s also known as a Bank Identifier Code (BIC). Overseas bank uses SWIFT codes to send money to Commom Bank. A SWIFT codeconsists of 8 or 11 characters.“
But there is no Swift Code of small towns or rural areas.
They are alloted IFSC Code.
Swift Code is not mandatory to receive payment from Adsense in India. You can also get paid by IFSC only.
